Heather Finch - LMT License # MA60613767
has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1993. First attending Calistoga Massage Therapy School located in California, she is a recent graduate of Carrington College in Spokane, Washington. Massage has been a passion of hers since a very young age when she would massage friends and family. She attended the school in California to ensure she was massaging correctly. Heather didn’t turn massage into a career at that time. Her family came first. With the opportunity of relocating to the beautiful state of Washington, she found herself rethinking this old passion and decided to turn it into a career. She loves helping others feel better. This could be focusing on specific pain issues or just relaxing.

Benefits of Massage Therapy

X

Having regular massage treatments delivers a wealth of health benefits. Getting a therapeutic massage on a regular basis is really an investment in your long-term health, and a form of preventative medicine as well. Most major diseases have some link to stress and rigidity in the body in crucial areas—regular therapeutic massage unlocks these rigid areas of the body, releases stress, and gets the body's fluids flowing to and from the right areas. A Hot Stone Massage, in particular, puts recipients into a deep state of relaxation and warms up tight muscles for better therapeutic stimulus and outcome.

The Health Advantages of Massage

Regular therapeutic massage delivers you and your body a series of health benefits, which range from the physical to the mental and emotional. It has been proven that having a trained massage therapist apply techniques that relax and stimulate all the external and connective tissues of the body—skin, muscles, tendons, and ligaments—cause cells to release toxins, among other things. Further advantages include:

  • Enhance immunity by stimulating Lymph flow—this is the body’s natural defense system
  • Relax and soften injured, overused and tired Muscles
  • Increase joint flexibility
  • Promotes tissue regeneration helping reduce scar tissue
  • Improves the condition of the skin
  • Promotes tissue regeneration helping reduce scar tissue
  • Helps lesson depression and anxiety
  • Relieves headache and migraine pain

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massages (a.k.a. Lava Stone massage, River Rock massage, River Stone massage, and other names) gained popularity through Tucson native Mary Nelson, and her patented LaStone Therapy. Adept therapists use the stones as extensions of their own hands. When applied to the spine or other vulnerable areas, heated stones soften and relieve tension as well as chronic pain or injury. Skilled therapists, using a great deal of finesse, along with the heated stones themselves confer a deep sense of relaxation upon clients, allowing them to be better able to rehabilitate worn, tense, or injured muscles and connective tissue.
